DACHSER in Pharma Supply Chain Management Summit in Mumbai

Organized by United Business Media (UBM), the tenth edition of the Pharma Supply Chain Management (SCM) Summit was themed around “Achieving optimal equilibrium between operational and cost efficiency”. The event was supported by DACHSER India as associate partner.

Pharma Supply Chain Summit  took place on 24th- 25th September 2018 at the Westin in Mumbai.

The event brought together the supply chain managers of Pharma manufacturers and logistics service providers to participate in a lively and interactive exchange in order to further optimize the supply chain.

“Demographic, Geographic, Environmental, Regulatory and Technical factors is the key in shaping the trends of the Life Science Supply Chain ”, said Zarksis Munshi, Head of Airfreight Indian Subcontinent, Air & Sea Logistics. The pressure of cost reduction, cool chain reliability, adequate awareness to all stakeholders in the supply chain and readiness with the increasingly dynamic and demanding regulatory environment are the key challenges that needs to be addressed,” he added while discussing on the panel discussion of the event on the first day.

During the session, new trends in LSH market, the constant evolution of new technologies and best practices as well as the role of 3PL service providers were discussed.

The event also gave an opportunity to the sponsors to have their own “networking area” in the form of small booth.

Although the networking area was limited to six square meters, DACHSER India utilized the full opportunity to promote the brand DACHSER, the stall was the highlight of the event, which helped gaining good traction and attracted a good  number of visitors to enquire about the company’s entire portfolio, air and sea logistics and DACHSER expertise in handling Pharma, Life Science & Healthcare products.

The significance of achieving the certification of Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics (CEIV Pharma) for Hyderabad and Mumbai branch was also discussed and appreciated.

Being one of the few companies handling Pharma, Life science & Healthcare shipments successfully, DACHSER India’s achievement of IATA CEIV certification have given an uplift to the business by building confidence and secure feeling for all the customers to connect with DACHSER, said Anil Yadav, National Sales Manager India ASL.
