Customs security – keeping a firm grasp on customs regulations
In the fight against international terrorism, the customs authorities have tightened legislation. Among other things, they commit companies to an advance customs data announcement via partnership programs such as C-TPAT, which classify companies as reliable partners. We help you import your freight faster to the desired country where we, as the certificate holder, have individual contact persons at the customs authorities.
Export to the USA is subject to strict security measures
With numerous embargoes against global terrorism, the USA in particular has established many customs barriers for imports. They protect against certain persons and organizations or aim to starve the financial sources of terrorist groups. This means prohibited countries, companies and individuals are “blacklisted” by the United States. A list of terrorist groups can be found in EU Regulation 881/2002, the so-called “Taliban Regulation” can be found in the EU Regulation 2580/2001.

Without the 10+2 rule, no freight will be able to enter the USA
A thorough examination of your exports is the inevitable consequence of tighter security regulations in the US. The verification of your freight is based on the Importer Security Filing (ISF). Under the so-called 10+2 rule, ten defined entries must be transmitted electronically to US Customs at least 24 hours before the ship leaves the port of departure. Incorrect, late, or missing filings will be fined between $2,500 and $5,000. Especially in the event of missing filings you run the risk of subjecting your shipment to a time-consuming customs check in a US port that requires payment.
